Tina Hudgins
As a proud native of Asheville, I have been blessed to grow up and live in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. Not only have I experienced the residential growth of this region but also welcomed the authentic and eclectic community from which Asheville is well-known. For me, it’s exhilarating to meet people from other areas and to hear their stories on why this region is so appealing to them. Their description of the Blue Ridge Mountains combined with the vibrant urban life is testimony to a desire to live here. These remarks alone make me proud to represent our community.
On a personal note, I enjoy hiking, boating, farming and spending time with my family. Working on a farm is time-consuming but rewarding. We have several goats, chickens, a few cows and of course, cats and dogs. There is never a dull moment with this kind of crowd. These animals are my “go to” when life seems a little complicated; it always seems to do the trick.
In regards to my career, early on in my job search, I was provided several opportunities to learn different trades. From working as a receptionist in an electrical distribution warehouse to sales and accounting at a newly established concrete company. Needless to say, I was grateful for the gained experience, but I yearned for a more meaningful and fulfilling direction in my life. In 2003, my career path took a turn and there I found my love for real estate. A local prominent family, owned and operated a commercial high rise in downtown Asheville. They offered me a position as the Property Manager, which I was ecstatic to accept. This business (and family) served me well for several years, for which I will always be grateful. In 2014, the owners of the building decided to merge with a well-known hotelier and transform the older commercial high rise into a new and modern multi-use building. As luck would have it, I was able to continue working with both owners and follow through with the process of reconstruction. This was a totally different side of real estate than I had ever known but welcomed the experience and knowledge. As part of the mixed-use building, several condominiums were constructed and my responsibility for pre-sales began in 2017. Once construction was complete in late 2019/early 2020, closings began grossing over 40 million dollars in sales; only a few Units remained unsold. Each new homeowner moved into their condominium with grand expectations and with continued admiration of such a beautiful city such as Asheville. I think my defining moment was the sincere joy and smile on each owners face when moving into their new home. It’s moments like this, one cannot forget.
If given the opportunity, I commit to provide the same dedication, knowledge and service as I have with others, but this time, the smile will be on your face. Whether you are buying a home or selling, together, as a partnership, we will accomplish our goals so you may begin living the life you deserve. Come and see what everyone is talking about; the mountains are calling!
